A New Home:

  After living the first 5 1/2 years of my life in a high rise, I’ve recently gotten to experience what it’s like to move to a new place.  Not really caring for the anticipation that comes from packing, a lot of my time was devoted to napping while box after box was packed and labeled for the move.  You know what it’s like watching your people pack for a weekend getaway or longer trip.  There’s always anxiety because you’re never sure whether you are coming or going on a trip somewhere by yourself while they are letting down their hair and getting a lot of much-needed rest.

  I have to say I was shocked, and pleasantly surprised to move into our new home; I’ve never had my own yard to sniff around in before and I love it!  Moving from 1000 square feet to over twice that much has given me lots to explore and more exercise getting around the new place, for sure!

  I’m having fun showing my younger sister how to behave outside without a lot of distractions.  And I can’t say how nice it is that all of our stuff at the old place made it here in one piece.  It’s comforting to be in a new place with familiar furnishings (including my bed!)
