  Solid Gold foods are free of all chemical preservatives such as BHA, BHT, and Ethoxyquin (which 'may be harmful by ingestion, inhalation and through skin contact' and is a 'skin and eye irritant according to the manufacturer's Material Safety Data Sheet).

    Flaxseed oil and canola oils are used in all Solid Gold foods.  These unsaturated  oils have balanced omega 3 and 6 fatty acid ratios.  Saturated fats such as those found in meats, poultry and dairy products may contribute to cancer and heart disease.  Animal and poultry fats are never added to Solid Gold foods.

    In addition to Lamb and Fish, Solid Gold uses the following wholesome grains:
